  1. Some time ago there was a man whose name was Quinland Sullivan he lived in Ardgroom. One night when he was coming home he met a number of men on the road, and they asked him to go across the bay to Tahilla to stand in goal for them as they were short one man. So he went away with then to the harbour where they took him along with them in a boat and crossed the bay until they landed near a field where two teams were lined up for a hurling match.
