  1. There was once a woman who "went in the fairies." Her husband was inquiring of everybody how he could get her back. A witch lived in the place, & she had knowledge of the fairies. The man went to her for advice, and she told him that all the fairies would be in the "liss-field" on May-night, and that she would give him certain signs and tokens whereby his wife would return to him.
    He did not trust the witch so he went to the parish priest, and told him his story.
    The priest gave him a rod and a bottle of holy water. He told the man to go to the liss-field
