    The above is the only story which I could attain in this district (Leamnaguilea, Ballyhar Parish, Co. Kerry) in which mention is made of the Fianna.

  2. In a field in the townland of Leamnaguilea, above parish, there are patches which are called Fál Fiadhs (pronounced Fees). Just under the surface one sees ashes and little dark burned stones. The presence of the Fál Fiadhs as explained as follows:- In olden times bread was baked, not in ovens, but on flat stones.
