Story
Once a woman from County Cork came visiting to Kerry with another girl. When they came to a bridge over the River Maine the woman got very "go brónach" "Ó Mary" said she "I must be going home" "Why so" said Mary. "Ó" said she "because the rivers are turning towards the west and the end of the world is coming". She used always hear that when the end of the world was coming that all the rivers would turn west and to make her more sure of it most of the rivers in the County Cork are flowing east.
