  1. The main road in this is the broad road from Dublin to Derry.
    There are some old roads in this district and they are still in use.
    The roads in olden times were made as work for the people, they were payed sixpence a day.
    There is also another road running much the same direction, and the difference between them is two and, a half miles. This road runs from Aughnacloy to Caldon and, passes through Tynan then it goes on to Armagh.
    These two roads are the principal one nearest to this district.
    The old road which was long ago, ran through Mullabrian and Fortsingleton. There are old parts of it yet.
    There is also a prt of it running through Dernacoo. It is not in use now.
    The old road which leads through Fortsingleton is still in use. There are bye roads in this district and there men paid to keep them in good order.
