    At Dundion there lived a blacksmith called Will Cooper

    the hammer stuck to his hand and he had to keep hammering Will kept on at his work till the devil could stand it no longer. Take this from me "he roared" Not till you let me off says will, I'll give you ten years more says the Devil. Bill let him off and went off like a blast of mind. Well the ten years went by and one fine day the devil steps in again and this time Will put on his coat to get ready "Sit there in the chair" says Will "till I get a smoke of the pipe". The divil sat down sure enough but up he couldn't get the chair stuck to him and Will smoked away as quiet as you please. At long last the divil roared out let me out and I'll give you ten years more. Will let him go again and he went off in a terrible rage. Be that as it may the ten years went by and came the devil and this time he would take no excuse but got Will to go off. The two walked away the road together. They passed by a public house
