  1. Hidden Treasure
At Tydavnet in Co Monaghan under a certain stone there is supposed to be treasure buried. A man living in the neighbourhood dreamt three nights running that the buried treasure was a valuable sword which belonged to one of the McMahon chiefs.
One morning he and his son decided to go in quest of the treasure. As soon as the old man touched the stone he fell over on his side dead. His son fled in terror. When he recovered he explained the death of his father in such a place.
Collected by P Ryan, 3 Stanley Terrace, Monaghan.
