    keep the wheaten meal long ago, the whole-meal bread was considered a luxury. The poor people sold the wheaten meal in the markets or in the shops, and, with the money this obtained, they purchased the goods necessary for the house.

  2. A Grid-iron : This was circular in shape with iron bars crossing from one side to the other, and an iron at the back, which served as a support to the grid-iron, when standing, that is when bread was being baked on it.
