  1. About seventy years ago the marriages in this district were held in the house in which Stations were being held. After the wedding the wedding guests went to the bride's house on horse-back, the bride and groom rode on the one horse, but when going to be married they both rode on different horses. Whatever rider reached the bride's house first got a bottle of whiskey. My Great Grandfather used to get the bottle of whiskey at most weddings.
