  1. Local Heroes.
    Amy Clarke, Drumshevera, Scotstown.
    He had a farm in Derrydoragher. He was working in it one day along the road side there was poteen making in the district and the Gauger got word about it. Clarke knew about it also, & he said if he would not turn on the road that he would carry him & the horse on his back, he did so. He was renowned for his great physical strength. He died about a 100 years ago.
