  1. I The Priest of the Parish.
The principal actor in this game stands in the centre of the floor of the room (in which the corpse is) while the other players sit around the walls. The man in charge gives each of the players a name"Mouse in the meal" Pinner (Pin her) in the Whins" "Drake in the Lough Bog Drain", Over the ditch and at her", "Kid in the Clover", "Trip trap at the back barn-door". He then begins as follows:-
The Priest of the Parish lost his hat.
Some say this & some say that
But I say my man Jack
Jack, who is also standing, answers
    "Me, me, sir?"
the accuser shouts out "Yes, you, sir"
Jack who appears to be angry retorts "you're a liar, sir".
The accuser then asks "Who then, sir?"
Jack blames one of his neighbours -
"Kid in the Clover" for example. All eyes are set on "the kid" who answers as Jack did. Any person who fails to answer word for word as Jack did must "give up something as a fine - a pipe or a handerchief or a comb.
