  1. The Priest of the Parish lost his Hat.
    The leader of this game stands in the middle of the floor of the wake-room, and the other players are seated around. The leader gives each player a name such as "Kid in the Clover" "Mouse in the Meal", "Trip trap at the Barn door" etc
    He then begins:
    The priest of the parish lost his hat
    Some say this and some say that
    But I say My man Jack"
    Jack who is also standing answers:
    "Me, me sir?"
    The accuser replies "Yes, you sir!
    Jack, angrily , shout "You're a liar, sir"
    The accuser then asks "Who then, sir?"
    Jack tries to blame one of his fellow players shouting out his name, as -- "Kind in the Clover"
    All eyes are directed to poor "Kid in the Clover", who if he fails to answer instantly exactly as Jack did has to give up a forfeit - a hankerchief, pipe pin or something.
    The game proceeds till the leader has succeeded in exacting a forfeit from each player, for failing to answer promptly and correctly. Then a game of
