  1. There was once a man who was cycling along a lonely part of the road, not heeding the darkness that enveloped him. Suddenly he found a rather heavy weight on the back of his machine, with a hurried glance he looked around and found that nothing was the matter. He continued to push his way but only got a few yards when the strange again provoked him. He again turned round and this time angry for he expected to find something wrong with his bicycle but to his astonishment what should he see sitting crest behind him but a human body with a dog's head. Horror stricken as he was he fell to the road and found himself struggling in a terrible combat with this strange figure. "Dia idir sinn agus an t-olc". After a few minutes he mustered together his old strength and courage he rose and with slow and impatient steps he made his way to the nearest house. When
