    The Rose. Which breaks out on your leg or on your face, It is cured by any person by the name of McElroy.
    The Whitlow. Is a disease that comes on your fingers or toes. It is cause by a thorn or by getting your finger crushed. It is cured by two men namely, James Meegan Lammet, Inniskeen and John Hughes, Lossexford. The cure consists of sulphur, soap, unsalted butter and a raw egg.
    The mumps. Is a disease which breaks out on your head. The disease is cured by putting a pair of donkeys winkers on the persons head who has the disease and lead them in an out of a pigs sty nine times saying, "Thug ná mucne leicne" three times.
    Boils. Is a disease that will break out on any part of a persons body. It is cured by applying powdered chalk or Reekitts Blue. Some people let the sore ripen and draw it with a poultice of bread and milk.
    A sty in your eye. Is cured by getting nine thorns from a
