  1. In Spring we play "skipping" and "fox" and chickens.
    Here is the way we play Fox and Chickens. One girl is he mother and a number of children catch behind her in a row, one after the other. Another girls stands for the "fox". She comes to the mother, who says to her:
    "What are you looking for?"
    I am looking for my big needle I lost in the snow"
    "What do you want with the needle?"
    "To sew bags"
    "What do you want with the bags?"
    "To gather sand"
    "What do you want with the sand?"
    "To scour knives"
    "What do you want with the knives?"
    "To cut the heads of your children".
    "Do if you dare"
    Then the fox tries to catch the children and the mother defends them.
    In Summer we play "Jack Stones".
    We get five medium sized stones and toss them
