  1. There lived in Inniskeen, a great giant. He lived in a cave on a hill at Shancobane. Now this man would come out once a year, and kill all he could get, both people and their stock. Then he would go in again and people were afraid to go in after him, because it was said that anyone going in, would never come out. One day a man came around and he said he would go it and see what was inside. He went in but he never came back. At last one day a crowd gathered, and the way they decided to go in, was to get a long chain and go in, in a long row. When it came to the time for entering the cave no one would venture first. At last one man said he would go in. They went a long way and at last the man came to a door. He knocked at it, but it was locked. After a little while, the door opened and the man walked into a great room. The giant was sitting in a chair. The man who went in a month before, was changed to a pillar. When the giant saw the man
