  1. An old cure for warts is get some washing soda and put it in a jar and pour boiling water in it, and then when it cools rub it to the warts.
    Another old cure for warts is to get some forge-water, and then to wash the warts in it.
    Another cure for a cold is boiled milk and butter, to put the butter, down in the milk, and then to drink it while it is still hot.
    A cobweb put to a cut while it is still bleeding, will stop it instantly.
    To boil a plant called a gladdin in new milk, and then to drink, it is a good cure for the mumps.
    Soap cut up very finely, and put it on brown paper, and mix sugar with it until the sugar is as fine as the soap, then put the mixture on a piece of linen, and put it to a boundlock, is supposed to cure it.
    An old cure for a toothache is to get a sheet of note-paper and put it on a plate and burn it. Then put the ashes
