  2. In Hennessy's Cill in Blackcastle (near Three Castles) a crock of gold was buried. One night men were talking in a house. when a [?] man came in. He told them that there was a crock of gold in Hennessy's Cill, and told them to dig for it. They set out with candles and spades, and dug. They dug and dug until they came to a flag. Just then the candles went out. After that they never went back to dig for it.
