  1. One day a man went on a visit to a neighbouring house with his sister Bridget. The man was "innocent", so all the people liked him. The man of the house gave him a penny. Then he said to him, "What will you say? He thought he would say, "Thank you" as everyone does. But he did not. He said, "Give another ot 'Bidgie'."

  2. A farmer hired a sevant boy to work with him. The boy got stale bread for his breakfast. He complained to the farmer. The farmer said, "My wife baked bread before you were born."
    "That must be some of it I got this morning," said the boy.
