  1. There are four graveyards in the parish of Freshford. Tullow graveyard is situated in Tullow, and a chapel adjoins it. Threecastles graveyard is situated on a hill about three and a half-miles from Freshford. There is an old ruined castle adjoining it. Ballinamara graveyard is situated in Ballinamara about three miles from the village of Freshford. There is a ruined castle adjoining it.
    Freshford graveyard is situated in the village of Freshfold and adjoins a Protestant Church which was once in the hands of the Catholics. Catholics are still buried in the grave-yard.
