    Inchbeagh situated about three miles from the village of Freshford, is so called because there is a small Island there.

Wild birds found in this district are the blackbirds, the robins, the swallows, the wrens, the crows, the jackdaws, the cuckoo's, the magpie and the sparrows, pigeons, plovers, pheasants, curlews, thrushes, hawks, water-hens, cranes, gold finches, sky larks corn-crakes, yellow hammers, larks, wild geese, eagles and linnets.
