    worn. The dress long ago was much the same as the present time. After the marriage ceremony long ago no honeymoon was held. There are some old sayings connected with marriages such as:-
    (1.) If married in green ashamed to be seen.
    (2.) If marriaged in black you wish yourself back.
    (4.) If married in grey you wish yourself away.
    (5.) If married in red you wish yourself dead.
    (6.) But marry in white and you marry alright.
