    "Fennells Hill" because people named Fennells lived there long ago. "Coolcullen hill" is so called because it is in Coolcullen. "Ballasalla Hill" is so called because it is in Ballasalla.

The names of the fields in our farm are "The Sally Meadow" because sallies grow in it, The "Hollow" it got the name of hollow because there is a hill at each side and there is a hollow in the middle. There was a war in this hollow long ago, between the Danes and the Irish soldiers. They were firing from the hollow to Clorinka Castle. There is a big stone in this hollow. The head of the army was killed and buried there. The "Cuckoo field" got its name because the cuckoos were known to build their nests in it. "Farrell's field" a family called Farells lived there. The "Furry HIll" because furze grow on it. The "Far Hill" is so called because it is a great distance from the house. Most of our fields are surrounded by streams. The
