    The chin cough: When a woman had a child sick with the chin cough, she went out on the road and waited until she saw a man with a piebald horse. She said to him "Good morrow, good man, with your piebald horse what cure will you give me for the chin cough. Whatever he would say to get was supposed to cure the chin cough.
    Cure for a toothache: A Prayer
    "As Peter sat on a marble stone,
    Jesus Christ Himself came there alone
    Saying "what ails thee Peter, that makes thee quake,
    O Lord God it is the toothache,
    Rise up Peter and be thee hale
    Its not you alone, but all mankind
    Whosoever shall repeat these words for my sake,
    Shall never be troubled with a toothache".
    Cure for the thrush:
    A posthumous child who breathes three times into the mouth of the sick child,
