  1. There are five raths in this district. Murphy's Rath, Lacey's Rath, Deevy's Rath and Ring's Rath.
    A man called Sam Sim's was lost for three days in Murphy's Rath in the Rock of Foyle. It is supposed to be the fairies that took him. One time a man went to dig Lacey's Rath. As soon as he began to dig his cows began to die.
    Fairy music was heard at Deevy's Rath. Another man ploughed Ring's Rath. When he had it nearly all ploughed he got a prick of a thorn. He suffered from the effects of it for twelve months.
