  1. It is said that there was money hidden at Cullen's in Ballycomey near Castlecomer. Four men went to dig for the money on a moonlight night. After digging for some time they heard moans they got a fright and they ran away. So the money is still there and nobody went to look for it again. The old story tells us that there will need to be blood spilt on the place before the money is got.
