  1. The cure for a headache is brown paper steeped in vinegar or holy water. Tie a piece of ribbon that has been blessed on St. Brigid's Eve around your forehead and the headache will be cured. Heat a cabbage leaf and tie it around the person's head.
    The cure for an earache is to fill it with sweet oil. Put a piece of raw potato in the ear and leave it there for a short time, this will take away the pain.
    The cure for a toothache is turpentine put on cotton wool and placed in the tooth. A small piece of pepper wet with whiskey and put in the tooth prevents a toothache
