  1. Long ago when a man would want to get married, he used to go to the fair on horseback. The first girl he would meet he would marry her. That time there were many bards in the country. One the night after the marriage the bards and friends used come and feast with the married couple. The bards used to play tunes on harps and sing songs. Late in the night the straw-boys used come and tell funny stories. Their dress was of many bright colours.
