  1. In olden times when there was a wedding in a house Straw-boys used come to sing and dance and make sport. The people used make a collection and give a shilling or a sixpence to the beggars and poor people. When the men would have the whiskey drank out of the bottles they used to shoot the bottoms out of the bottles. The stray-boys used go off in carriages.
