    Burns:-
    A plaster made of mutton suet and the bark of the elder tree boiled together.
    Cough:-
    Carraigeen moss and garlic boiled together. To this is added the juice of one or two lemons according to the guantity of moss used.
    Boils:-
    The rind of old bacon put on like a plaster. This softens the boil and causes it to break.
    Sting of a nettle:-
    The juice of the dock leaf applied immediately.
