    The fairies of Killyrane ...

The fairies of Killyrane fort used to take away little children out of the cradle. One night a man in the district was coming home off his ceilidhe and as he was nearing the back of his own house he heard lovely music in the field. Suddenly the back window opened and there was a bundle handed out to him and a voice said "Take this." He took the bundle into the house and what was it but his own little child. He looked towards the cradle where there was another child.
