    Ballybay, Clones and Monaghan. They are always held in the towns. They are held in a special field called the green.
    There is no money paid on the cattle that is going in to the green nowadays, but long ago it had to be paid. Everyone would have to give a half crown to get in. There used to be a man for taking the money.
    When an animal is sold now the man that buys the animal gets a luck-penny from the man that he bought it off. The luck-penny is given for the man to have good luck with the animal. It is from a shilling up.
    When a bargain is made the two men show that they are satisfied by clapping others
