    The local monument was erected to one of the Dawson family; who was a member of parliament. It is very high about sixty feet. There is an urn on the top. There are four steps leading to it. It is situated in the Dartrey Demesne near Kilcrow Church. It was Lord Dartrey who was the means of having it built.
