    The people of Ireland believed in old customs in regard to marriages. May was and still is considered an unlucky month.
    There is generally more marriages in February before Lent and Advent than in any other time in the year.
    There is an old saying the bride should wear "something new something borrowed and blue."
    In regard to the day of the week Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for losses, Friday for crosses, Saturday the worst
