  1. At the conclusion of the great world war in the Autumn if 1918 one of the worst epidemic of influenza that was ever known in Ireland broke out.
    Some people considered it came over with the soldiers from the trenches, others thought it came in the air.
    The Doctors were busy day and night in some houses the whole family was sick at the same time and some neighbours had to attend them.
    Hundreds died all over the country I have heard of three persons dead
