  1. The Local Fairs are Carrickmacross Shecock Keady Armagh Ballybay Dundalk Dublin Monaghan Castleblayney.
    Sometimes buyers come to the farmers houses and buy cattle and horses. The town fair is held in a special place in the town. When the cattle are sold we got a luck money it is called a luck penny.
    When a bargain is being made the men hit each others hands and spit on the money (money) for luck.
    The animals are then marked with a heel. When horses are sold you give the halter with them.
