    The rubbers are tied firmly to the prongs and a piece of leather about three inches long is got and the other ends of the rubbers are tied to it. Then the catapult is complete. A small stone is put in the leather. The handle is held in the left hand and the leather in the other. The leather is pulled and let go suddenly and the stone flies like a bullet. This is a drawing of the catapult.

  2. To make a plug - gun you get a thick bit of bore - tree about half a foot long. Then you get a long bit of iron and redden it in the fire and put it through the bore - tree so as to burn the pith out of it and have a hole through it. Then you get a good strong bit
