  1. There lived in the townland of Killycracken a man named James Carr. He was a very strong and tall man. He went wandering about from place to place. It was a habit of his to lift anything he would see lying around. One day when walking along the road he saw a plough in a field. He crossed the ditch and got the plough on his shoulder and got to the road again and walked on. After a while he saw a piece of a tree on the road - side he lifted it on his other shoulder and went on. After a while he met a man who asked him where was he going. He answeer "I am going to the forge to a pair of swing - tree for this plough".
