  1. Long ago people had no clocks and they could only tell the time by the sun.
    An old woman who lived near Castleblayney had a son who went to America and he sent her home a clock. She could only tell the time when the clock struck. One day a neighbour came in and he asked her what time it was. She said that the clock had talked a while ago and that if he would sit down for a while and listen she would tell the time again
