  1. There was a woman who had three daughters. She gave them their name to suit the manner in which they worked. She called one "Nitchy natchy", one "Pitchy patchy" and one "tear away". There was a young man came and asked the mother which of them would he marry. She said he could choose for himself when she would tell him their names so she told him.
    He chose "Pitchy patchy" for his wife for "tear away" would tear all and "Natchy" would only knot the clothes.
