  1. I
I am a true bred Irishman,
    Stuart Douglas is my name,
And for to make a pound or two
    By smuggling I was game.
    II
I drove them over at all times
    Early and late
    'Till finally I was captured.
    At the Bog meeting gate.
    III
'Twas on the third day of July,
That the Warder came to me,
    He said Arise up Douglas,
Your Judge you now must see.
    IV
    You've worked for Draffin,
And you've kept him in his land,
And now he would not bail you,
Nor he would not give a hand,
    V
But Samuel Martin stood your friend,
The best of luck he'll have in the end,
For he'll have plenty of money
    When Draffin will be broke.
