  1. Once upon a time a man built a new house in the townland of Annahia. On the first night that he slept in it he heard a great noise and he was kept awake all the night The furniture was moved about through the house and every thing was upset.
    At daybreak the man arose and all the noise ceased and no one was to be seen. The man was very annoyed and he told the priest about the matter. The priest came to the house and said some prayers. The next night the same thing happened and he was obliged to leave the house.
