    With bribery and a lying tongue he is a man of fame
    A disgrace to his allegiance
    William Murphy is his name

    But now he bitterly rues the day the gunlet he threw at me
    For the world all knows how him I beat on the bog of Carrickatee
    His malicious thoughts he also turned on a poor and struggling man
    In public he tried to evict him from his bog and farm of land.

    For Ward he would not let him trespass upon his land
    When baliff Murphy he exclaimed
    "I am a rising man".
