  1. Once upon a time there lived in the townland of Greagh a man named Philip Duffy. On each side of his house there was supposed to dwell a large number of fairies. He said he often saw them riding on white horses by his door.
    One day his wife went out to see them riding by. As they were passing by door something lifted her off her feet and placed her on a white horse. She rode away with the fairies and never was seen for seven years. They often rode by the door but he never could see his wife amongst them.
    One day he was outside watching them and to his joy he saw his wife
