  1. There was a man one time who lived in barrichanare and he had two cows. These cows suddenly ceased milking. One night he said to himself that he would not go to bed and that he would watch if there was anything milking the cows.
    At twelve o' clock a big hare went into the byre. The man went into the house and put a shot in the gun and he put a sixpence in the shot. He fired at the hare when she was leaving the byre and blood fell from her. The next morning he tracked the blood until he went to an old woman's house and the old woman was lying in a bed and she bleeding. The man said
