    They dug diligently for about an hour. At last they came upon a large flagstone. They worked laboriously trying to lift it and in the end they succeeded. To their great joy they saw the crock of gold which lay hidden under the flagstone.
    Then they began to unearth it. When this was done they carried it home between them and they lived in happiness and richness ever afterwards. They were extremely delighted at their good fortune but they could never find out how this crock of gold was left in the field.
