  1. There was a tree growing on a fort in Lattycrum many years ago. A man cut a branch off it, and he was a cripple the next morning.
    Once a number of men ploughed up a fort; and that night their mother was taken away, and a cripple left in her place.
    There is a fort near my house in Carrickatee. There is an old house built on it, but nobody lives in it. This fort is surrounded by bog and trees.
    At the top of this fort there is a height like a grave, and there is a hole in the middle of it. The fairies were supposed to have slept in it. This
