There are many stories told of cures for diseases.

There are many stories told of cures for diseases. Here is one I heard from a neighbour.
When children or adults have the whooping cough their parents go to some house where there is a ferret kept. They get a tin of milk and put it in front of the ferret When it has some drunk they take it from it and give it to the patients. This is a customary thing about this neighbourhood and it is said that it is a good cure.
