    On the 23rd of January in the year of 92,
    My way I took to have a pleasant view,
    To view the grand horse racing that was ran upon the ground,
    Got up by captain Walker of honour and renown,
    It was him got up the races and acted Judge as well,
    He is a gentle-man by birth and heir-ship too.
    As well that it was a favour,
    It was both bright and fair,
    The cheers for gallacan Forde,
    I am sure would rend the air.
    The farmers race was the first chase about twelve in the day,
    Won by the Fair-haired girl belonging
