  1. Monday
    Most people in our district have certain days for starting to do any work. The third day after Christmas in each week is said to be an unlucky day to (be an) to start any work such as; ploughing, putting in the crop or to build a house or repair one.
    Whit Monday is a very unlucky day for anything to happen such as; a mare to foal a cow to calve etc. It is noted for accidents.
    It is unlucky to move to a new house unless Friday. There is an old
